Actions and Results
- Represent the requirements of the SMB (small-medium businesses), non-profit and organization markets to the email industry
- Track, engage in and influence industry discussions involving email deliverability, email authentication, and sender reputation
- Establish and maintain relationships with key industry participants and vendors
- Take a leadership role in Constant Contact's membership with MAAWG, ESPC, IET and others
- Attend and speak at industry events; participate (might go with active or recognized voice in social media circles
- Participate in industry standards groups and with leading vendors regarding emerging technologies, practices, legislation and the like.
Internal
- Collaborate with delivery and compliance teams to define and communicate the business strategy regarding Constant Contact's ongoing achievement of the highest possible delivery rates of email from our systems; provide business partner support as needed
- Help identify and define projects related to deliverability and reputation systems; serve as an internal consultant to product managers as needed
Skills and Experience
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience speaking in public forums; writing columns and/or technical papers
- 10+ years technical experience building and managing software/applications/networks /infrastructures or experience serving in a technical consulting or pre-sales role
- Strong self-motivation
- Experience serving as an evangelist for a technology and/or software product is highly desired
- Familiarity with email industry issues around email deliverability, anti-spam initiatives, email authentication and other industry initiatives such as privacy, SPF and SenderID is a plus
- Experience in large scale email operations (sender and receiver) is a plus
