Job Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire an experienced, smart and motivated staff
- Develop and manage a long term, actionable brand strategy and platform
- Provide strategic council to the Public Relations team on story development, media and influencer relations, corporate communications, crisis communications
- Assess and anticipate risks to Constant Contact's reputation and brand and develop plans to mitigate those risks
- Inspire editorial programming: Articles/bylines, Newsletters, whitepapers
- Service the marketing and business development organizations by proactively developing emotionally charged stories through Customer Testimonials and our Social Mission
- Collaborate with other company opinion leaders to craft the official company position on provocative and pertinent issues
- Partner with education and training teams to deliver Best Practices & Thought Leadership content
- Work closely with cross-functional business leaders to support growth objectives
- Embrace and execute quantitative, as well as qualitative, measurement and performance analysis of all marcom programs
- Inspire excellence within your team and make contributions beyond the scope of your position.
Skills Requirements
- Strong desire to service internal customers and a natural ability to build strong relationships
- A sense of urgency and ability to achieve goals quickly, but also take enough time to lay the foundation for robust and scalable communication systems and processes
- 10+ years of directly related experience; determining company positioning and developing Content and Brand related programs in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- 7+ years in personnel management / leadership capacity
- Leadership prowess and the ability to build, mentor and manage diverse teams.
- A sense of humor handy and be able to inject some levity into intense situations
- Experience with traditional and electronic communications tools, vehicles, and techniques, including web and all that it offers, radio, television, video, and print
- Strong project management and multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven self-starter with high standards and a creative mind
- Exceptional verbal and written skills, having demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
- BS Marketing; MBA preferred
