Quality Engineer - Test Automation (Ruby on Rails Applications)

Actions and Results:

• Create and maintain regression tests for Rails-based application features
• Collaborative early testing for defect prevention
• Identify, log and track defects
• Assist in associating defects with application behavior
• Develop test case specifications and automated test cases

Skills and Experience Required:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable discipline
• 2 or more years of QE experience
• Self-starter, organized, punctual, and thrives in a fast paced environment
• Adapts quickly to environment and leverages relationships
• Experience testing Ruby on Rails or JRuby projects using either test::unit or RSpec
• Familiarity with SQL
• Experience with web technologies: HTML, XML, JSON, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills and Experience Desired:

• Experience using Capybara, Webrat, or other DSL (Domain Specific Language) with Selenium RC
• Experience creating and/or testing social media integration and mobile applications
• Experience with writing JUnit style test cases
• Experience at a SaaS or Cloud software company
