Security Engineer

Security experts wanted! In the role of security engineer, you will be responsible for exploring both the breadth and depth of a variety of technologies to find new and interesting vulnerabilities. You will work with engineering teams to ensure secure design and deployment of internally and externally developed products and services. You will bring your penetration testing and code review skills to bear to discover vulnerabilities anywhere you can find them. Potential avenues for exploration are web applications, web services, network infrastructure, user desktops, social engineering, physical security, and more. We will rely on your judgment and expertise to understand the entire threat landscape and focus our resources in the right direction. You will have the opportunity to work with interesting and cutting-edge technologies like Cassandra, SOLR, Redis, Puppet, Rails, and many more.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Expert-level knowledge of web application security
• Expert-level knowledge of system and network security
• High energy with a breadth and depth of advanced technical skills.
• Passion for building (and breaking) great products
• Familiarity with a broad mix of technologies, including a strong subset of: Java, JavaScript, JSP, JBoss, HTML, XML, Spring, UI frameworks, Ruby, DB2, NoSQL (Cassandra), Web Services, and a range of open source libraries (plus anything else you can bring to the table).
• Java development background, ability to read and write Java
• Experience with web application security tools (Burp suite, AppScan, WebInspect, Metasploit, Nikto, etc.)
• Ability to clearly communicate security risks and recommended remediation steps
• Ability to work closely with a variety of teams in engineering and operations
