Senior Release Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented release engineer to join our Engineering Services team in Waltham. We need someone able to manage project work along with support of our engineering staff in a very fast-paced environment.

The role includes working with source control systems, continuous integration environments, build systems, scripting languages, and supporting the development and operations staff.

Activities include:

• Supporting Git and Subversion source control environments.
• Working with QA and operations teams for deployments to test and production environments.
• Developing Python modules for build and deployment support.
• Automating flow from development to production of source code modifications, i.e. continuous integration.
• Creating and supporting Maven and Rake build environments

Requirements:

• Proficient in at least one of: Maven, Git, Python, Ruby application builds
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science preferred.
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Software build lifecycle knowledge.
• Scripting language experience.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Ability and interest to closely collaborate with a wide-range of individuals to understand business needs and requirements and to understand how these can be met using a variety of different technologies.
• Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
