Senior Director, Channel Sales - Waltham, MA

Reporting to the SVP, Global Market Development, this position will be responsible for leading Constant Contact's existing channel sales organization. This individual will possess an industry reputation for delivering highly productive channel programs that drive market awareness, significant new partner growth, and existing partner engagement and productivity. He/she will be responsible for development and execution of a multi-faceted channel strategy that leverages outbound calling, partner training, market development initiatives, and lead allocation programs to create market segment specific programs that maximize partner engagement. 

This newly created position will work with executive management and across departments in further developing our Channel Sales partnership program. Identify, qualify, develop and drive go-to-market programs for web design firms, marketing agencies, small business consultants and ISVs.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: develop the goals and objectives for target partnerships consistent with corporate strategy; align sales, marketing and services activities against those goals.
  • Program Management: manage internal and external partner programs, coordinate internal resources and communication, and manage the cross-functional and inter-company program plan.
  • Marketing: develop and execute partner marketing programs, align partner activities with corporate strategy, and manage communication across the broad partnership community.
  • Partner Enablement:  Manage our Partner Management Team to on-board partners; this involves delivery of partner training, go-to-market planning and channel management.
  • Relationship Management: develop and maintain strong working relationships with key partners.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or equivalent, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in channel sales management
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong sales and business development background
  • Experience in growing an account management team based on consultative sales methods and focused on growth metrics

  • Strong communicator and have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment, particularly within the sales and marketing departments
  • Must be a polished professional with excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organization skills - able to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in building channel relationships with marketing agencies, web designers, software application providers, and other channels servicing the SMB market
