The position's key responsibility is to work with the Director of Technology and Standards and Operations to help identify, define and implement features and practices to ensure Constant Contact and our customers understand and adhere to changing industry best practices and security needs. Most projects will be cross-functional efforts derived primarily from email industry requirements (new standards, best practices, or legislation) and security-related business requirements.
Responsibilities are a mixture of creative brainstorming to kick off initiatives, collaboration with many departments and teams, requirements definition, and project management to ensure requirements are integrated into product schedules and kept on track. Position is a dual report to the Director of Technology and Standards and the Vice President of Product Management.
Requirements:
- B.S./M.S., preferably in Computer Science or technical field
- 3 + years of Product Management experience
- Solid technical background, including at least some of:

- Web-based security
- Single sign-on
- Email technology
- Java, Servlets, JSP's and J2EE
- Ability to think outside the box

- Ongoing need to contribute to creative plans that reconcile industry requirements, customer requirements, product resource constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Presenting ideas and plans to diverse audiences
- Documenting project status
- Cross departmental interactions: product management, engineering, marketing, support, etc.
- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Drive analysis of business, customer, and industry requirements; work closely with diverse Product Owners to drive cross functional project requirements into multiple teams.
- Keeping projects organized and on track
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum environments a plus
Note: Someone with a background as a sales engineer might be a good fit for this position.
