Vice President, Reporting and Analytics

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP of Analytics will shape and define the strategy and vision for customer analytics. You will work across the organization to ensure systems and processes are in place to deliver accurate and timely reporting of the business, drive cross-functional analytic initiatives aimed at increasing customer success and company growth, manage the growth and development of an in-house predictive analytics capability and work closely with marketing stakeholders to optimize marketing program efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute to longer term strategy and vision for customer analytics and reporting
- Be Constant Contact's thought leader on customer analytics. Infuse KPIs, test & learn methodology (hypothesis driven testing), data analysis techniques, tools and best practices...into the company
- Foster a culture of hypothesis based decisions supported by analytics where data is treated as a strategic business asset
- Enable better, more informed data driven decision-making
- Manage and coach a team of analysts, statisticians and business partners to develop reports, analyses, test designs, and models that provide actionable insights to grow the business and foster innovation
- Enable successful execution of business strategies with information-rich decision making.
- Prioritize and manage overall schedule and portfolio of projects, communicate timelines to internal clients, work with senior personnel and project managers to address issues and remove obstacles
- Proactively challenge results and thoroughly investigate anomalies
- Build and manage a highly collaborative, pro-active, passionate and effective team
Skills and Experience
- BS degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
- Advance degree preferred (Master's/PhD )
- 15+ years of business and customer analytics and reporting experience
- 7+ years of people management experience
- E-commerce or SaaS industry experience preferred
- Experience developing and growing a reporting and customer analytics capability in a fast-paced, multi-product environment that is highly customer focused
- Proven self-starter with high standards and a creative mind that has demonstrated success leading and influencing colleagues
- Analytical and creative problem solver with extremely strong quantitative skills that can spot patterns, trends, and opportunities in data
- Ability to communicate complex information simply and clearly
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization to deliver results
- Working knowledge of statistics (predictive modeling, regression, etc.) and the ability to integrate modeling into business decision-making processes and test and measurement plans
- Experience and knowledge of CRM solutions (such as Salesforce.com and Aprimo) and third party APIs (Google Analytics, Google Adwords...)
- Working knowledge of business intelligence environments and best practices, preferably Cognos.
- Experience in traditional and advanced analytical techniques: segmentation, conjoint analysis, data mining, time series regression, econometric modeling...
