CTO Margaret Olson available for comment on email authentication proposals and the implications for small businesses
Waltham, MA. - November 04, 2004
Margaret Olson, CTO for Constant Contact and co-technology chair for the Email Service Provider Coalition (ESPC), is available for comment on email authentication issues and the implications for small businesses as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) convene for the "Email Authentication Summit" in Washington D.C. November 9-10. Margaret Olson and other industry experts have been invited to share knowledge and to counsel the FTC on the development and deployment of domain-level authentication systems that could reduce spam. Olson will also appear at the INBOX East Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, Nov 17-19, sharing her views about the implications for small businesses once authentication solutions have been fully developed, tested, and deployed.
"The upcoming FTC Summit and INBOX East discussions are important forums for raising awareness about the strengths and limitations of the various email authentication proposals," said Margaret Olson, chief technology officer for Constant Contact. "Constant Contact's role is to champion the interests of small businesses who otherwise would not have a voice in these discussions as federal and state agencies, industry groups and independent enterprises work together to test and deploy the various authentication initiatives in play."
