Donations will be provided through the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) network that supports 1.3 million small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs each year
Waltham, MA. - September 12, 2006
Constant Contact® (www.constantcontact.com), the leading email marketing service for small businesses, associations, and nonprofits, today launched a program that supports the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) by donating free accounts to every Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the United States.
The ASBDC (www.asbdc-us.org) represents more than 1,100 local SBDC offices in 63 statewide and regional programs from across the country, who provide management and technical assistance to more than 1.3 million small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs each year. Local SBDCs offer free, face-to-face business consulting and at-cost training on writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, international trade, and more.
"Small businesses are key drivers for the U.S. economy, but with more than half failing in the first year and 95 percent failing within the first five years, expert-driven coaching and guidance are critical towards the long-term success for many," said Gail Goodman, CEO, Constant Contact. "The SBDCs provide an invaluable resource for supporting small business success, and with Constant Contact, they now have a tool to reach more small businesses and effectively communicate their business and coaching services."
"Constant Contact's email newsletter service enables all of our SBDCs to have ongoing communication with small businesses and continue educational support long after clients leave our offices -providing them with up-to-date information on relevant business coaching and development programs," said Don Wilson, President, ASBDC. "Constant Contact's dedication to small businesses and its investment in their success will allow us to broaden our reach and serve our clients even better."
