National program designed to increase small business success with email marketing
Waltham, MA - September 30, 2008
Constant Contact®, Inc. (NasdaqGM: CTCT), a leading provider of email marketing and online surveys for small organizations, today announced the official launch of its SBDC Program, which is designed to help Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) drive success through improved communications with their more than 1.2 million small business clients.
America's SBDC Network provides face-to-face business management consulting and training assistance to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Constant Contact and SBDCs around the country will be working together to provide educational resources focused on helping small businesses succeed and grow. Additionally, the Constant Contact SBDC Program will provide each of the approximately 1,000 development centers across the country with access to Constant Contact's email marketing and online survey tools at no cost to communicate more effectively with their clients and communities.
"Constant Contact and the Association of Small Business Development Centers share the same goal of empowering small businesses to succeed by providing coaching, key educational training and access to easy and effective tools," said Eric Groves, senior vice president, Worldwide Strategy & Market Development, Constant Contact. "Our email marketing and online survey tools further the impact of SBDCs by helping them improve communications with their clients and the surrounding communities; also, our small business marketing curriculum will assist SBDCs in supporting their clients' continued education. We are proud of the work we do for small businesses and of our commitment to organizations, like the ASBDC, that help drive small business success."
"Small businesses are the heart of our nation's economy and we all benefit from their success," said Donald Wilson, president and CEO of ASBDC. "The ASBDC strives to help new and growing businesses succeed through valuable education and counseling. In response to our clients' increasing demand for training in online marketing, we looked to Constant Contact to help us enrich our existing education programs to include course material on the importance of building and growing customer relationships. We're excited to work with an organization like Constant Contact that is equally committed to the support and long-term growth of small businesses."
Constant Contact introduced the new program directly to SBDC representatives at the ASBDC 28th Annual Conference, earlier this month in Chicago.
