CONSTANT CONTACT ANNOUNCES SMALL BUSINESS MARKETING EXPERT FOR THE NEW YORK METRO AREA
Regional Development Director Wendi Caplan-Carroll helps area small businesses learn how to market in difficult economic times
Waltham, MA - December 09, 2008
With the New Year fast approaching, small businesses are looking ahead to new opportunities to grow their businesses. To help New York-area small businesses better connect with their customers, Constant Contact®, Inc. (NasdaqGM: CTCT), a leading provider of email marketing and online surveys, today announced the hiring of local small business expert, Wendi Caplan-Carroll.
In her new role, Caplan-Carroll conducts free interactive seminars throughout the New York Metro area to educate small businesses on how email marketing and other online tools can support their business goals. These seminars provide fundamentals on how to create successful and effective communications programs that will help small businesses stay connected to their customers, increase loyalty, and drive repeat business.
"New York has long been identified as the place where anyone can make it big with ambition and hard work," said Wendi Caplan-Carroll, regional development director, Constant Contact. "While there's no shortage of ambitious, hard working small business owners in the New York area, true success also requires smart marketing, affordable tools and a little know-how. I'm excited to help provide the education and resources to help these small businesses continue to thrive in 2009 and beyond."
Partnering with Local Chambers
In order to reach as many small businesses as possible, Caplan-Carroll partners with local chambers throughout the metro-New York and New Jersey areas including the Manhattan, Harlem, Newark Regional Business Partnership and Gateway chambers. These partners are granted discounted email marketing and online survey tools to offer to their members. In addition, Caplan-Carroll leads seminars that educate their members on the value and necessity of direct customer communications while providing tips and best practices for conducting effective email marketing and online surveys.
One example of a successful chamber partnership is the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Caplan-Carroll has already spoken on several panels about email marketing to a number of the Manhattan Chamber's 1,500 plus members and is scheduling several more seminars for early 2009.
"These past few months have been challenging for every business. As we look forward to the challenges and opportunities the New Year will bring, we're encouraged knowing we have Constant Contact and Wendi to help our members," said Nancy Ploeger, president, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. "Wendi's enthusiasm and knowledge are inspiring and her commitment to helping each and every member attain success is invaluable to our organization."
Caplan-Carroll's seminars and partnership with the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce are just a few examples of the work she is doing to promote New York's small business community.
