Monthly Pricing Plans for Event Marketing

Our prices are a flat monthly fee and based on your number of Open events currently accepting registrations or RSVPs. We don't base our pricing on the number of registrants you have for an event, because:

  • You shouldn't be penalized for running a successful, popular, interesting event
  • As a supporter of small businesses and organizations, Constant Contact understands our customers' need to have predictable–and low–expenses

Protecting your mailing list
Simply put: Your mailing list belongs to you. After your trial ends, your list will remain in your trial account for your convenience should you decide to become a paying customer. We will never use, borrow, sell, or rent your mailing list.

About permission-based mailing lists
Constant Contact is a permission-based email company. This means the people you email to must "opt in," or say it's okay, to send them communications. We have a zero-tolerance policy against SPAM. Using a purchased list in your account is in violation of our Terms of Service. We also do not provide lists for you to rent or buy.

* Each registrant over 2,000 in a month will be billed at $0.50 per registrant, starting with the 2,001st.

** If you exceed this limit at any time during your trial, you will be prompted to upgrade to a paying account.

Hidden fees? There aren't any!

You can be assured that Constant Contact doesn't have any hidden fees. We know how important budgets are for small businesses, and how critical it is to watch expenses. That's why we make sure our pricing plans are as transparent as possible.

However, there are other charges that may apply to your Constant Contact account, such as:

  • Your state or local sales tax, if applicable
  • If the number of email addresses in your database exceeds your current monthly pricing tier and bumps you up to the next one (for Email Marketing and Online Survey)
  • Purchasing the optional Email Campaign Archive or Premium Image Hosting services (each $5/month)
  • If you use Event Marketing and have more than 2,000 registrants in a given month. We charge 5 cents for each additional registrant, starting with the 2,001st. (This is a very rare occurrence, too!)
  • If you use Event Marketing and use PayPal® credit card processing to accept payment for any fees you may charge for your event. Any charges to use this feature are collected by PayPal, not Constant Contact.

Why Constant Contact does not sell mailing lists

We do not provide email lists for you to buy or rent; nor do we provide them in any way to customers or any other third parties. That's because Constant Contact is a permission-based email company.

Permission-based email marketing means that the people who you send emails to have "opted in," or told you it is okay for you to contact them. The trust of your customers and audience is very important to your marketing efforts, and to your good reputation.

We have a zero-tolerance policy against SPAM. Using a purchased or rented list in your account is in violation of our Terms and Conditions, and may result in your account being closed

Good permission-based email practices:

  • Keep you from being blacklisted as a spammer by ISPs
  • Avoid any resulting fines as described under the CAN-SPAM Act
  • Reduce the time you spend on managing bounce-backs on your mailing list
  • Keep undeliverable email addresses off your list and save you from unnecessarily paying more for Constant Contact each month
  • Provide more encouraging results from your email campaigns. When your subscribers want to hear from you, they are more likely to take action like opening your emails, doing repeat business with you, and referring their friends and colleagues to you.
