Q. Who is Constant Contact?
A. Constant Contact provides the industry-leading email marketing service designed to help small businesses grow with targeted, professional-looking email communications. Our web-based solution, is designed specifically for small businesses and is easy–to-use, affordable, and requires no technical expertise.

Constant Contact services are accessible over the Internet, so users don’t need to purchase any software. Your customers will soon be managing their opt-in email and thanking you for it!

Q. Who manages your Affiliate Program?
A. We have teamed up with Commission Junction ( and Impact Radius ( to provide our affiliates with third-party tracking, real-time reporting, and monthly commission checks. In addition, we have partnered with Schaaf-PartnerCentric to run the management of the affiliate program. You may reach them at with any questions. You must have a Commission Junction or Impact Radius account to become an affiliate.

Program Qualifications

Q. How much does it cost to join the Constant Contact Affiliate Program?
A. There is no cost to join the program. In fact, you’ll earn money for each new person who tries Constant Contact and/or becomes a Constant Contact customer.

Q. What are my responsibilities as a Constant Contact Affiliate Partner?
A. After you agree to the Constant Contact Affiliate Program and Commission Junction terms and policies, your only other responsibility as a Publisher is to place banners and links to Constant Contact on your website - and we’ll provide them to you.

Q. How do I know if my website qualifies for your Affiliate Program?
A. Most websites will qualify to participate in our Affiliate Program. However, we do reserve the right to refuse or revoke membership if we deem the website contains objectionable material, explicit language, supports violent groups, or if we suspect fraudulent behavior.

Q. Commission Junction does not do business in my country of origin. Can I get approved by Constant Contact?
A. No. Constant Contact abides by the policies of Commission Junction Impact Radius. This includes only partnering with those countries that are included in our contracts with Commission Junction and Impact Radius.

Q. Do I have to be a webmaster to join the Constant Contact Affiliate Program?
A. No. Our Affiliate Program is open to all webmasters, consultants, web designers, marketing professionals, site owners, or anybody interested in promoting Email Marketing.

Q. I am waiting to get approved into the Affiliate Program, do I need to do anything else?
A. Constant Contact reviews all pending Affiliate applications on a weekly basis. You will receive notification within a two-week period.


Q. How much will I make with the Constant Contact Affiliate Program?
A. We pay our affiliate partners for each user who signs up for our FREE 60-day Trial and for each user who becomes a paying Constant Contact customer. We pay $5 for every customer who signs up for a free trial* - and $105 for each new customer who becomes a paying customer.

Note: * Free trial users must send a test or production email campaign to qualify as a referral. Commission rates subject to change at any time. A customer has to be paying through at least one billing period before you receive credit for the referral.

Q. What is the difference between a lead and a sale?
A. A lead is when someone signs up for the Constant Contact FREE Trial and sends an email campaign. A sale is when that trial becomes a paying Constant Contact Customer.

Q. How often will I get paid?
A. Commission checks will be sent out on a monthly basis. However, it can take up to 90 days for you to receive payment on a particular lead or paying customer. You are able to stipulate your payout threshold when you apply to become an affiliate. Once you reach that payout, you will be sent your check via Commission Junction or Impact Radius.

Q. Can I get paid for past referrals?
A. No. You must be signed up and approved as a Constant Contact Affiliate before any payments can be made.

Q. Can I earn a share of the ongoing revenue from the customers that I refer through the Constant Contact Affiliate Program?
A. Not through the Affiliate Program. Revenue sharing is offered through our Solution Provider Program. For more information about that program, please visit

Q. Do you have a high conversion rate after the FREE Trial?
A. Yes, we do. Our product is so effective and easy for small businesses to use. Once they sign up and see the value it brings to their business, they are very motivated to increase their subscriber list and use Constant Contact on an ongoing basis.

Q. If I operate multiple websites, can I get paid with one commission check?
A. Yes. You can list your websites under one Commission Junction Publisher account or one Impact Radius publisher account. When you sign up for the Constant Contact Affiliate program, just enter the names and URLs for your different websites. You’ll be able to generate separate reports for each site but still receive just one check.

Tracking and Reporting

Q. How are my referrals tracked and credited to my account?
A. All the Constant Contact links and banners to our site contain your unique source ID. As a Publisher, each time a user comes through your link/banner to our site and signs up for a free Trial or becomes a customer, your account is credited.

Q. How can I check to see how much commission I have made through the Constant Contact Affiliate Program?
A. Once you are approved into the program, you can access your Account Manager at the Commission Junction site, or the Impact Radius site After logging in, you will be able to run a transaction report to see a breakdown of your activity and the associated commission.

Q. I don't see some referrals credited to my account?
A. There are a number of reasons this might happen. Referrals made before you were approved into the Affiliate Program will not be credited. We recognize clicks of our banners immediately within your Commission Junction or Impact Radius account. Activity that results in leads or sales may take up to 90 days to be recognized. This is outlined in our terms and conditions for using the Constant Contact Affiliate program, and you can be assured that you’ll receive credit for all accounts that qualify as a sale or a lead.

Q. I lost my password, how can I retrieve it?
A. For help with your Commission Junction account, please call Client Services at (800) 761-1072 in the U.S. or (805) 730-8000 for international users, and press '1'. For help with your Impact Radius account please visit

Q. My account has been deactivated, what do I do?
A. Commission Junction will automatically deactivate your account after 6 months of inactivity. To re-activate your account, please call Commission Junction at (800) 761-1072 in the U.S. or 805-730-8000 for international users, and press '1' for Client Services.

Links and Banners

Q. How do I get the links and banners for Constant Contact to put on my site?
A. After you have completed the sign up process and have been approved into the program, you’ll be able to click on the login button and get the links to start promoting Constant Contact on your site.

Q. If I decide not to get the links and banners when I sign up, where do I go to get them?
A. Simply visit the website of Commission Junction at Enter your email address and password in the upper right hand corner to log in and access your affiliate Account Manager. Within your Account Manager, you will see GET LINKS.

Q. Where will site visitors link to once they click the banners or text links I put on my site?
A. They will be linked to our website, which will outline everything they need to know about Constant Contact services. This is where they can learn about our features, pricing, take an online tour, and sign up for the product. You’ll receive credit for any activity that results from clicks on that link.

Q. How do I get Affiliate credit for links and banners in my Constant Contact email campaigns?
A. To place a banner ad into your Constant Contact campaign, you need to do the following:

  1. Browse our banner inventory and pick an appropriate banner for the email template you want to use.
  2. Click on Get Links. You should see a box containing the tracking code. Simply copy and paste this code into our template in the location you want to have the banner appear.
  3. Some users may want to copy it into a paragraph of a featured article. This lets you get the banner in your campaign quickly without having to understand any HTML.
